So Toyota has revealed yet another game into the gadget industry, The Winglet. Will it be the next iPhone? well... it depends on several things
It all started a few years ago with the Segway, a no doubtfully unique transportation vehicle that set a spark in everyone's mind about how will we commute in the modern life futurama.
But is this really the future of mankind? fat blobs with a large brains floating on funny looking vehicles? well... it depends, Lets go back to present time for a while and have a look at all the device parameters.
As Toyota stated in their news release the device is no less then "people-assisting Robots. Designed to contribute to society by helping people enjoy a safe and fully mobile life, the Winglet is a compact next-generation everyday transport tool that offers advanced ease of use and expands the user's range of mobility.
When it comes to Weather protection the device is clearly a problem just like its competitor the Segway there is no protection, however an experienced Winglet user might be able to carry an umbrella while controlling the device, which the Segway user cant.
When Checking the Speed capabilities of the Winglet there is a definite disappointment, 3.7 Mph only? it'll take hours to get to work and it will be really embarrassing when old women overtake me while riding it! While the Segway can go up to 12.5 Mph. Toyota please spare some time to work on the speed issue, will you?
